For those who are new to our community or

have never attended one of our Spring Fundraiser events,

we wanted to share some answers

to frequently asked Spring Fundraiser questions.

 

When and where is the Spring Fundraiser?

The There's No Place Like Capitol Hill Day School Spring Fundraiser will be held on Friday, May 3rd, starting at 6:30 pm, at Capital Turnaround located at 700 M Street, SE.

What is event attire?

Keep it casual!  Come dressed in something fun and festive to enjoy a night of great food, good friends, and celebrating our wonderful School.

I have dietary restrictions, what are my food options at the event?

We will have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available at the Spring Fundraiser.  If you have any questions regarding the event menu or other dietary restrictions, please contact the Development Office at development@chds.org.

What happens at the Spring Fundraiser?

Loads of fun!  This casual, adult-only event brings our community of parents, faculty and staff, and friends together to celebrate Capitol Hill Day School.  While we will NOT be having a silent auction as in year's past, we will be enjoying a great evening of delicious food, great music, and wonderful company.  We will have a Live Auction, featuring vacation homes, dinners and events, as well as raffle baskets and much, much more.

What are we raising money for?

We are looking forward to a wonderful evening that not only celebrates Capitol Hill Day School but also raises crucial funds to support our community. Proceeds from the event help to provide financial assistance to over 25% of families at our School.

How can I participate in the Spring Fundraiser?

You can participate in the Spring Fundraiser by buying event tickets, sponsoring the event, donating a Live Auction item, hosting a sign-up party and buying raffle tickets.  We also are looking for event volunteers--helping before the event or the night of.  Please contact Shannon Ryan at sryan@chds.org for more information about volunteering to support the Spring Fundraiser.

When do tickets go on sale?

Business Sponsorships and Family Sponsorships are on sale now.  Fundraiser admission ticket sales will launch in March.

How do I pay for the items I purchase?

All sponsorships, ticket sales, raffle tickets and sign up party spots can be purchased on our Fundraiser website. 

We can charge your event-night purchases to student billing, but we will also accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Are sales final?

Yes, all fundraiser sales are final.  If you can not make an event after you've purchased a sign up party spot, please consider sharing your purchase with another family/parent.
